Zain Bhatti Death: struck and killed by NJ Transit train in Madison
Zain Bhatti Obituary: 21-year-old Zain Bhatti of Mount Olive’s Flanders area was struck and killed by a NJ Transit train on Tuesday in Madison. A Morris & Essex Line train struck Zain Bhatti soon after 3:30 p.m. west of the Madison station, according to NJ Transit.
There were 60 passengers aboard the train. Service was delayed for more than five hours before resuming a normal schedule around 9 p.m.
On other news, State police reported an accident where a 77-year-old Stratford woman sustained serious injuries in a collision on Interstate 95 South in Madison. The crash involved three vehicles and happened around at 2:15 p.m.
The woman was transported from Stratford to Yale New Haven Hospital after sustaining severe injuries. A 43-year-old man from New Haven was transported to the same hospital with minor injuries sustained in the collision.
