Who is Fox News reporter Carley Shimkus?
Carley Shimkus, a popular Fox News reporter, is married to Peter Buchignani, a successful businessman, who works as a sales analyst at Amherst Pierpont Securities in Chicago Illinois. The couple met on Carley’s 23rd birthday, and two years later started a romantic relationship. Two years more, and the couple decided to tie the knot in a wedding ceremony held in Carley’s home state of New Jersey. Carley used her position on Fox News Channel to announce her wedding on Imus in the Morning show.
Early Life, Parents, and Education
The younger daughter of Zulma M. and Edward Shimkus, Carley was born on the 7th November 1986, as Carley Noelle Shimkus in Long Valley, New Jersey. Carley has an older sister, Margot, who is an art teacher and artist herself. Her parents met in an airplane, on which her mother was working as a flight attendant, while her father was just one of many passengers; it was apparently love at first sight. During her teenage years and parallel with high school, Carley tried modeling; she was pretty good fit as a model, tall, slim and apparently beautiful, but soon enough she found out that for modeling she would need more than just looks – hard work – and she wasn’t that interested. So after finishing high school, Carley enrolled at Quinnipiac University, from which she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. Before obtaining her degree, Carley spent a semester at George Washington University, where she completed a course in the area of journalism.

Following her graduation, Carley looked for a place in journalism, and soon secured a spot with the Fox News Channel, perhaps an obvious development after completing her internship at the Fox office in Washington D.C. during her junior year at college. She was named a news correspondent soon after she joined, and was then named associate producer of the Imus in the Morning show.
Rise to Prominence
Carley quickly progressed, and in 2012 became an assistant producer for the Fox Business Network, which led to her on-screen appearances in such shows as “Fox & Friends First”, “Fox & Friends”, and “Mediabuzz”. She then moved to Fox News Channel, and has been serving as a correspondent ever since, with her role being to bring social media trends and news from the entertainment industry closer to the public.
How Rich is Carley Shimkus?
Carley has been dedicated to her journalistic career during and since her studies; first the internship, and then she became an official employee of the Fox. Her hard work paid off and we are about to find out where her net worth stands at. Well, according to authoritative sources, it has been estimated that Carley’s net worth is as high as $1 million, an amount earned through her successful career, which has been active since 2009. Her annual salary apparently varies from $55,000 to $66,000.
Since being featured more and more on television, Carley has managed to expand her popularity to other areas, including the social media platforms, primarily Twitter and Instagram. Her official Twitter account is followed by around 27,000 people, with whom she has shared her newest career enterprises, opinions, and ideas.
