Vernon Marcaida Obituary: Stratford School Computer Science Teacher Vernon Marcaida of San Francisco, California has died. He passed away on Friday 8th December 2023. He was confirmed dead through a post made on Saturday that says “our hearts broke as we learned of our brother’s passing yesterday morning. we miss you so much. one day we’ll all meet again to play lots of board games and animal crossing”.  The actual cause of his death was not stated.

Vernon Marcaida Education

He graduated from Archbishop Riordan High School in 2004 and pursued further education at City College of San Francisco from 2004 to 2008. Subsequently, he enrolled at the Academy of Art University, completing his studies in Multimedia Communications in 2013. Between 2014 and 2016, he attended Skyline College, earning an Associate’s degree in Communications. Continuing his educational journey, he joined San Francisco State University, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Broadcast and Electronic Communication Arts.

Over the years, he engaged in various roles and professions. For nearly a decade, from August 2004 to April 2014, he served as a Teacher Assistant and Tennis Coach at Archbishop Riordan High School in San Francisco. Additionally, he worked as a Valet at USA Parking System in Half Moon Bay, California, for eight months from October 2013 to May 2014.

His involvement extended to roles such as Student Ambassador at TRiO Student Support Services for 11 months (July 2015 to May 2016), Program Aide at Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club in Millbrae, California, for a year and three months (December 2015 to February 2017), and Game Technician at Dave & Buster’s Inc. for a year and 10 months (December 2016 to September 2018). Later, he transitioned to the field of education, working as a Computer Science Teacher at Stratford School.

GoFundMe has been created by Vanah Marie Marcaida to financially support the deceased family in these difficult times. The goal of the fundraiser was to raise the sum of $25,000 but so far $8,365 has been raised as of this writing with the help of 89 individuals.
