Who was Tony Positano?

Tony Positano’s name is with Top Dragster class racing in Southern Ontario. Early in the 1970s, while helping his best friend race his ’69 Nova, Tony developed a racing itch. He then relocated to a 1941 Willy’s (Chilly Willy) that had formerly belonged to Burt Straus.

He and a friend bought a 1970 Chevelle from California in 1990, and they raced it together for two years. He purchased a 1977 Vega Wagon in 1992 that had a tiny block in it. From 1992 to 1996, he raced it at ST. Thomas every weekend, running 9.50s.
