Taylor Orlowski Pine-Richland Car Accident and Jonathan Tourney Obituary News: Pine-Richland High School student & football player identified among tow killed in McCandless car accident.

According to authorities, a speeding driver in McCandless lost control of a vehicle early on Saturday morning, December 23, 2023, killing two teens.

Around 3:20 a.m., according to Allegheny County Police, a crash occurred on Irwin Road close to Babcock Boulevard. When emergency personnel arrived on the scene, they found that six people were inside the car when it crashed.

At the crash scene, an 18-year-old female was declared deceased. After being airlifted to a nearby hospital, a 14-year-old boy passed away there. After being transported to a nearby hospital, the status of two other passengers is classified as stable. There were no injuries to the other two occupants in the car.

According to the police, an 18-year-old male driver lost control of the SUV and crashed it into a tree while traveling at a high rate of speed.

Jonathan Tourney, 14, has been identified as the victim. Tourney attended Pine-Richland High School in the ninth grade and played football for the school. The medical examiner identified the deceased 18-year-old as Baden resident Taylor Orlowski.

Jonathan was a ninth grader, was on the football team at Pine Richland High School. He has been training for next season. He was a very active kid who enjoyed ice skating, fishing and anything sport related.
