Tahlulay Henry and Kamorra Campbell Car Accident: Two South Elgin High School Students Killed

Two South Elgin High School students killed in a crash in Bartlett on Route 25 have been identified as Kamorra Campbell and Tahlulay Henry.

According to police reports, a collision occurred this morning at 7 a.m. at the intersection of Illinois Route 25 and Keynon Road. The vehicles involved in the crash were identified as a Honda Civic and a dump truck driver. The intersection in question is located to the east of the high school campus.

According to police, tragedy struck when one of the students involved in the Honda incident lost their life at the scene. Additionally, authorities have confirmed that a second student tragically passed away shortly after being transported to the hospital.

The crash involving a Civic and a truck saw both the driver and another passenger of the Civic hospitalized, along with the truck driver.

In the Civic, it was reported that all of the students are females. Additionally, it has been discovered that two of the girls in the group are related.

School District U-46 has released a statement following the tragic crash;

It is with a heavy heart that we share that our South Elgin High School has suffered a great loss. Four South Elgin High School students were involved in a car accident this morning. According to law enforcement, two of the students lost their lives.

We have school social workers and counselors available for emotional support for students, staff, and families.

Our thoughts, prayers, and most sincere condolences are with the families and loved ones of the students during this incredibly difficult time.

According to a press release issued by the South Elgin & Countryside Fire Department, it was necessary for crews to remove the roof of a Honda Civic in order to reach the vehicle’s four occupants. All of the individuals inside the car were identified as students from South Elgin High School.

In a recent development, the School District U-46 Crisis Team has been activated at South Elgin High School.
