Swanson Middle School Lockdown, “Bomb threat” Police investigating in Arlington

Swanson Middle School Lockdown: Over two dozen law enforcement officers are investigating a situation at a school in Arlington, Virginia, on Monday, November 13, 2023. According to the Arlington County Police Department, officers were dispatched to Swanson Middle School located at 5800 N Washington Blvd after someone phoned in a bomb threat at the School this morning.

According to the caller, bombs were planted in the Westover area of the middle school. There is presently a lockdown on the school, sources claim. Around 9:50 a.m., members of the police and fire departments, along with dogs trained to detect bombs, were sent to the school. The credibility of the threat is currently unknown as few details were made available by the responding officers.
