St Augustine Lighthouse Suicide – On Saturday afternoon, an individual jumped from the St. Augustine Lighthouse, resulting in critical injuries that suggest they attempted suicide. There are no additional details available at this time.

The St. Augustine Lighthouse announces online that the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum is closed on Saturday and Sunday, December 2-3. Saturday’s and Sunday’s Lighthouse Illuminations and Dark of the Moon Ghost Tours have been canceled. The Museum will resume normal operation hours on Monday, December 4.

An active and operational lighthouse, the St. Augustine Light Station is located in St. Augustine, Florida. It is a navigational aid that is actively maintained by private individuals. It was constructed between the years 1871 and 1874, and the current lighthouse may be found at the northernmost point of Anastasia Island.
