Sophie Truax Car Accident: Woman died in crash on Hwy 81

Sophie Truax Car Accident: Sophie Kay Truax, a Lincoln woman died after a crash with a dump truck on Hwy 81 in York on Friday morning. Sophie Traux, 33, died after her 2007 Lexus was hit by a 2017 Mack DumpTruck with a trailer attached.

As per the dispatch traffic, the collision took place slightly before 11 a.m. Traux was traveling east on Recharge Road, en route to Highway 81, when she neglected to halt at a stop sign, resulting in an intersection with the northbound dump truck on Highway 81.

Who was Sophie Truax?

Sophie started studying Doctor of Human Services in Leadership and Organizational Management(DHS) at Capella University in 2023. She was engaged to Kevin Loos, according to her Facebook page. Sophie formerly worked at Southeast Community College.

Sophie Truax’s obituary and funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by the family.
