Anthonie Lee Death and Sharon Lee Death: On the evening of Saturday, October 14, 2023, the bodies of South Carolina State Police Deputy Anthonie Lee and his wife, Sharon Lee, were discovered inside a truck on the couple’s farm located on TJ Mize Road.

The death of a Shelby County Sheriff’s Office deputy and his wife is being investigated as a murder-suicide after their bodies were discovered at their home, according to the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office.

Who was Anthonie Lee?

Anthonie Lee is a 32-year veteran of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, according to a spokesperson. Haywood County officials say Sharon worked for the neighboring Madison County Sheriff’s Office.

The Haywood County Sheriff’s Office said they received a call from Sharon Lee around 10:30 to 11:00 p.m. Saturday. During the phone call, she claimed her husband, Anthony Lee, pointed a gun at her. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Anthony had been shot once and Sharon had been shot multiple times, the report said. Both were pronounced dead upon arrival.
