Salvino Vackaro Car Accident: Oxford MI, man died in crash

Salvino Vackaro Car Accident: Salvino James Vackaro, 20, of Oxford, Michigan has died in a hit-and-run accident near the Michigan State University campus.

Salvino Vackaro was struck by a car on East Michigan Avenue near University Drive at roughly one in the morning on Sunday, November 5, 2023, which resulted in his death. Following the collision, the driver fled the scene in his car, but authorities later located the car a mile from the scene.

Shortly after, police managed to apprehend a suspect; however, they have not disclosed their identity or provided more details regarding their potential role in the collision. Police claim that Vackaro was not enrolled at MSU. There is a continuing inquiry into the crash.
