Who was Robert Brockman?
Brockman began his career in 1964 while serving as a reserve Marine Corps member as a marketing trainee for Ford Motors. He worked for IBM from 1966 to 1970, when he was the top American salesman in the company’s service bureau. In his living room, Brockman established Universal Computer Systems in 1970, a distributor of computer hardware and software for auto dealerships.
In 1982, the business sold its first in-dealership computer system. On August 8, 2006, the business amalgamated with Reynolds & Reynolds. After the merger, he was appointed CEO.
