Rhonda Marchi, Port Angeles, charged with 2016 murder-suicide

Rhonda Marchi Arrested – Rhonda L. Marchi, 41, of Port Angeles, was charged with suicide and attempted murder on Christmas Day for allegedly attempting to kill herself by combining prescription medications in grape juice with her 10-year-old daughter in 2006.

During Marchi’s initial court appearance in Clallam County Superior Court, the judge decided that she should be held on a bail of one million dollars. The charge of attempted murder is considered a first-degree felony because it had premeditation. According to the certification for probable cause that was submitted to the court by the Port Angeles Police Department, written by Detective Jesse Winfield, Marchi contacted 9-1-1 at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
