Who Was Purple Aki?

Akinwale Arobieke, commonly known as “Purple Aki”, was an Englishman with a criminal record who was notorious in North West England. At 6ft 5in (1.96m) and weighing 22 stone (310lb or 140kg), Violet Aki is hard to ignore. He was notorious for his unusual behavior of approaching young men and getting them to discuss weight training.

Purple Aki Career and Controversy

Initially, Purple Aki’s actions were interpreted as sexually motivated, leading to a Sex Offenses Prevention Order at Liverpool Magistrates Court in 2006. The order, which limited his interactions with others, has drawn significant attention to his case. It’s worth noting, however, that Purple Aki was never convicted of a sex crime.

In September 2016, BBC Three released an online documentary titled “The Man Who Squeezed Muscles: The Search for Purple Aki”.
