Platteville Walmart shooting: Domestic argument escalates into shooting, man injured, woman arrested

Platteville Walmart Shooting Investigation – Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating a shooting outside a Platteville Walmart on Sunday. An adult male was reportedly seriously injured after a domestic argument escalated into multiple shots being fired. Officers from the Prattville Police Department and Prattville Fire Department were reportedly called to the Walmart store on Cobbs Ford Road.

Arriving officers located a male suffering from apparent gunshot injuries at the scene. The incident happened at approximately 7:40 P.M., Sunday, October 21, 2023. According to Chief Thompson, a female has been detained in connection to the incident. “We do have a female detained at this time we are questioning, but we are just beginning the investigation.”

According to the investigators, the victim is in a critical but stable condition. The identity of the victim and suspect were not immediately released by the law enforcement agencies. This is a developing story.
