Peyton Shaw Death – A 17-year-old passenger died following a deadly three-car accident that happened today on West Danby Road near Piper Road in the town of Newfield. The victim has been identified as Peyton Shaw. According to reports, Peyton Shaw of Waverly New York passed away from injuries sustained in the automobile crash.

When did the crash happen?

The crash occurred on Tuesday, the 12th of December 2023. At approximately 12:50 pm, New York State Police at Ithaca responded to the crash on West Danby Road near Piper Road in the town of Newfield.

How did the crash happen?

A Toyota Yaris and a Jeep Patriot were headed north on Danby Road. The driver of the Jeep Patriot had come to a stop due to another vehicle ahead making a turn, and it was during this stop that the Toyota Yaris collided with the rear of the Jeep Patriot. Subsequently, the Toyota Yaris veered into oncoming traffic and was impacted by a Cadillac CT6.

What happened to Peyton Shaw?

Peyton C. Shaw, a 17-year-old from Waverly, NY, and the passenger of the Toyota Yaris was pronounced dead at the accident scene. Dale T. Beeman, the 18-year-old operator of the Toyota Yaris from Spencer, NY, was airlifted to Robert Packer for treatment of severe injuries.

Aristopher D. Bo, a 40-year-old from Waverly, NY, operating the Jeep Patriot, and Stephen M. Lucente, a 29-year-old from Spencer, NY, operating the Cadillac CT6, were examined at the scene by EMS but did not require transportation to local hospitals.

No plans have been announced for Peyton Shaw obituary and funeral yet.

Waverly is the largest village in Tioga County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 U.S. census, Waverly had a population of 4,177. It is located southeast of Elmira in the Southern Tier region. This village was incorporated as the southwest part of the town of Barton in 1854.
