Who was Peter Elliot?
Peter became a member of both the Marong Unit and the North West Headquarters Unit. Peter lived for the SES and his children. He is remembered as being a kind man and a hard worker who took pride in representing the Service and ensuring that the unit always put its best foot forward, earning the respect of everyone he worked with.
During his time as a volunteer with the Bendigo Unit, Peter would take on projects, including relocating an old Scout Hall in Eaglehawk which overnight became the SES Bendigo Unit. He also enjoyed re-purposing an old CFA Fire Truck to an operational SES Rescue Truck, all done in his own backyard.
