Mooers and Plattsburgh, New York communities are mourning the unexpected death of a teenager Owen Poirier.

Junior Owen Poirier, Class of 2025, is an outstanding student and dedicated athlete who has made a significant impact on the success of the Chazy Eagles team. He wore No. 24 as a linebacker on the Chazy University football team and No. 25 as an outfielder and right-handed pitcher on the Chazy University baseball team.

Irving stood out on the court not only because of his extraordinary athleticism but also because of the leadership he displayed.
