Nicolas Chamberland Obituary: One year after a young lady was shot and died on a Saturday evening in a busy section of downtown Edmonton, police are disclosing new details about her life and the events that led up to her death. Kelsey Ouellette, 31, was gunned down at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, in the Oliver neighborhood of Jasper Avenue and 116 Street.
Officers conducted emergency first-aid until paramedics arrived after responding to many reports of gunfire, but Ouellette died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. Nicolas (Nic) Chamberland, Ouellette’s 34-year-old boyfriend, died only five months before her death.
