Monticello Shooting: Man injured at Fareway store at 433 N. Farley St.

Monticello Shooting: A man was flown to the hospital after being shot behind a Fareway store in Monticello Tuesday morning. Law enforcement in Monticello, Iowa is investigating a shooting at the Fareway store at 433 N. Farley St.
Local schools and one hospital have closed as a precautionary measure amid the investigation.
Employees at the Fareway said everyone in the store was okay. It’s temporarily closed while officers investigate.
In response to the shooting investigation, the Monticello and Anamosa Community School Districts have locked down school buildings.
The Monticello Fareway announced on their Facebook page at 8:07 this morning that “Due to unforeseen circumstances we are temporarily closed”. The store opens at 8 a.m. on Tuesdays.
