Micah Ginsberg Obituary: Waubonsie Valley student dies in bike accident

Micah Ginsberg Obituary: 16-year-old Micah Ginsberg was killed after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver. Ginsberg was crossing the street on his bike when the crash happened. Members of his community are signing a petition to submit to Representative Lauren Underwood as no one deserves to die this way.

According to the page, Every day, students of Waubonsie Valley High School risk their lives crossing the intersection at Eola Rd and Ogden Ave to get to and from school. Without adequate pedestrian infrastructure in place, they are put at unnecessary risk. The solution we propose is simple yet effective -the construction of a bridge across Eola and Ogden Avenue would provide students with a safe route that is separated from vehicular traffic. This measure would not only ensure our student’s safety but also ease traffic congestion during peak school hours.
