Memphis shooting suspect Mavis Christian Jr. dies by suicide after four women are killed

Mavis Christian Jr Death: After reportedly killing four people and badly injuring a fifth victim during a horrific outbreak of domestic violence on Saturday night, a suspect in Tennessee died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot while on the run early on Sunday, according to authorities. The suspect’s death occurred in Tennessee. During the manhunt that followed the shootings that took place at three different places in Memphis officers located Mavis Christian Jr., 52, in his vehicle.
At approximately 9:22 p.m., officers from the Memphis Police Department rushed to the 100 Block of Howard Drive after receiving a report of a shooting there. The woman who was located by the police appeared to have been shot, and she was subsequently pronounced dead on the spot. The investigation revealed that two additional tragic shootings were connected. At the Field Lark Drive location, a mother and a daughter of 13 years old were found dead, and a girl 15 years old was found with significant injuries.
According to Officer Christopher Williams of the Memphis Police Department, the body of another woman who had been shot to death was discovered on Warrington Road. Law enforcement authorities at the local, state, and federal levels joined together to look for Christian after they formed the suspicion that he was responsible for all three crimes. According to the police, the circumstances surrounding each of the shootings were suspected to include domestic violence.
