Officers were called about 3:10 p.m. Thursday to the collision in the Como Park neighborhood. They found the 40-year-old driver, Melissa Kaltveit, and an 18-year-old passenger were unconscious, said Sgt. Mike Ernster, a St. Paul police spokesman.
Melissa Kaltveit’s cause of death
The teenager was transported to Regions Hospital by paramedics, with the injuries considered non-life-threatening as of Friday morning, as stated by Ernster. Meanwhile, Kaltveit, a resident of St. Paul, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
