Marcus Eliason, an Associated Press-affiliated international journalist died at the age of 75,  he has contributed intelligent reporting and beautiful storytelling in journalism for more than 50 years.

His family reported that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, had pneumonia earlier this week while residing in a nursing home, and passed away on Friday at a hospital in New York.
