Marcia Green Obituary, Death – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Marcia Rae Green, a beloved member of the Boise, Idaho community, on August 24, 2023, at the age of 87. Born on November 13, 1935, in Boise, Idaho, Marcia was the cherished daughter of James Venson and Bessie Pearl (Garlock) Valley.

On August 5, 1961, she united in marriage with Vernon Ray Green in Mountain Home, Idaho, embarking on a lifelong journey together. Marcia was the epitome of a devoted wife and mother, choosing to be a stay-at-home mom and dedicating herself to her family’s well-being. Her love for life shone through her passions, which included bingo, crafting, and nurturing her beautiful garden of flowers. She relished the simple joys of life, often spending quality time with her family and friends while savoring the delights of an outdoor barbecue.

Marcia’s legacy is carried on by her loving husband, Vernon Green, and their children: Jeff Whitaker, Robert Whitaker (Sherry), Brian Green, Kelly Green, and her brother Joe Valley. In addition to her immediate family, Marcia leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory.

While Marcia’s physical presence has departed, she is reunited in the afterlife with her parents, Bessie and Jim, and her siblings: Josephine Coates, Mary Watts, Pearl Miller, Ed Vitley, Junior Vitley, and Tony Vitley. She is also joined by her daughter-in-law, Marci Whitaker, and son, Rick Whitaker, in eternal rest. To honor the remarkable life of Marcia Rae Green, a celebration of her life will be held on September 10th from 4 pm to 8 pm at Cassia Park, located at 4600 W.

Camas St. in Boise. Family, friends, and acquaintances are invited to join together to remember and commemorate a woman who touched their lives with love, warmth, and kindness. Marcia’s legacy of love and laughter will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew her.
