Lloyd Hines Obituary: Former warden and NS cabinet Minister Pass Away

Lloyd Patrick Hines of Guysborough, NS, passed away peacefully at the age of 72, on Monday, September 11, 2023.

He was born on June 19, 1951, in Neil’s Harbour, NS, and spent his early childhood in Ingonish, NS. After graduating from Baddeck High School at 16, Lloyd earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at St. FX University, his obituary read.

In 1973, Lloyd met the love of his life, Patricia. They married in 1976 and eventually settled in Guysborough, NS. Lloyd was most proud of his 47-year marriage to Patricia; his love of his four children, Sarah, Shannon, Victoria, and Regan; and his role as Papa to three granddaughters Nola, Carlin, and Quinn.
