Lavina Fritz Obituary, Death – Lavina Fritz, a beloved Hanover resident, passed away peacefully at Hanover Nursing Center on Saturday, October 7, 2023. At the age of 98, she left behind a legacy of love, hard work, and precious memories that will be cherished by all who knew her. Lavina was born in the town of Normanby, the daughter of George and Emma Lantz. She had a deep connection to farm life and enjoyed working with her husband, Lloyd. When she’s not busy working on the farm, she can often be found in the kitchen, where her cooking skills are legendary. Lavina’s cooking, baking, and canning were generously shared with family, friends, and neighbors.
In 1991 Lavina and Lloyd retired to Hanover where they began a new chapter in their lives. There they made lasting memories with their grandchildren and formed strong bonds with their new neighbors, enriching their lives through the warmth and companionship of a close-knit community. Lavina’s memory lives on through her children: Mel (Alan) Cronin, Kathy (Wayne) Sickle, Joan (Richard) Schnur, and Wayne (Dennis) Free tz. She is also deeply missed by her loving grandchildren: Darryl, Dean, Dana, Jason, Julie, Megan, Emily, Ashley and Michaela. LaVina’s great-grandchildren Nicholas, Nathan, Chase, and Blake held a special place in her heart.
