Keith’s journey began on October 28, 1950, in Wausau, Wisconsin, where he was born to his parents, the late George and Virginia (West) Martin. Growing up in a family that valued both exploration and education, Keith’s formative years were marked by curiosity and a love for learning. He embraced various pursuits, including cross-country running, swimming, debate, and music, playing the trumpet in the band.
