Julian Gutierrez Motorcycle Accident: Died no Saturday crash in Lakewood

A motorcyclist who died in a crash in Lakewood Saturday evening was identified as 34-year-old Julian Gutierrez.

According to the Lakewood Police Department, the crash happened at approximately 8:05 p.m. at the intersection of Sheridan Boulevard and Mexico Avenue.

Gutierrez was traveling south when a vehicle going north made a left turn in front of the motorcycle, LPD said. He hit the side of the turning vehicle.

Gutierrez died from the impact of the crash.

According to LPD, the driver of the other vehicle involved in the incident remained at the scene. LPD has stated that there is no suspicion of driving under the influence.

Julian was a friend to so many from elementary all the way up to the present day and a wonderful father to his 2-year-old son Sebastian. He had a heart of gold, a heart like no other.
