Joshua Farrakhan Obituary: Joshua Farrakhan, son of The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan and Mother Khadijah Farrakhan. He was 64 years old. He changed his life and impacted so many lives after his change before. He left with history, his personal experiences in walking with his father, and some of the struggles he and his family encountered and had to face and overcome with faith in Allah.

Louis Farrakhan

Louis Farrakhan is a prominent religious figure and black nationalist in the United States. He is also the leader of the Nation of Islam. Calypso Gene was his stage name before he became a member of the NOI. Before that, he was a calypso singer.

He was designated National Representative of the Nation of Islam by Elijah Muhammad, who was the leader of the NOI at the time. His previous posts included serving as the minister of mosques in Boston and Harlem. He initially went by the name Louis X, but later became known as Louis Farrakhan.

Elijah Muhammad requested that Farrakhan give up his career as a calypso singer when he first joined the Nation of Islam (NOI). Farrakhan complied with this request. In large part due to the encouragement of famed classical musician Sylvia Olden Lee, Farrakhan made the decision, after a hiatus of 42 years, to begin playing the violin once more.
