John Reese Obituary: John R. “Jack” Reese, who resided in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the age of 83. John Reese’s cause of death still unknown.
Who was John Reese?
He was born on November 10, 1939, in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, to parents named Leonard and Ruth (Rexford) Reese. He was their first child. Victoria “Vicky” (Thornton) Reese was his wife for most of their 62-year marriage.
After more than twenty years of service, Jack transitioned to Ralph’s Ford in Mansfield after having been employed by Taynton Freight System in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania.
In addition to being a member of the Hillside Rod & Gun Club, the Arnott Sportsmen’s Club, and the Ironheads Motorcycle Club, he was a charter member of the Ironheads Motorcycle Club. He cherished time with his family and friends.
Jack is survived by his wife, Vicky, of Wellsboro, Pa.; his son, John, of Mansfield, PA; his daughters, Michelle (Butch) Cook (Saratoga, WY) and Lisa (Matt) Fair (Wellsboro, PA); ; his sister Barb Cowles of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his grandson Walter Hansen III.
John Reese Visitation & Funeral
On Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 3 to 5 p.m., a visitation will be held at the Carleton Funeral Home, Inc. (www.carletonfh.com). The town of Wellsboro, is located in Pennsylvania.
The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to either the Lewy Body Dementia Association (912 Killian Rd. SW, Lilburn, GA 30047) or the Wellsboro Firemen’s Ambulance Association (21 Crafton St., Wellsboro, PA 16901). Both of these organizations are located in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania.
