Jerome Brooks Obituary: Global Director, Brand Creative – Community & Culture at Nike, Jerome Brooks has died leaving family and friends devastated.

Our hearts break as we announce the passing of the beloved Jerome A Brooks. Jerome was a loving, compassionate, and larger-than-life man who devoted his life to elevating people. Jerome walked through his life helping others to be successful regardless of their status.

Jerome Brooks Education and Career

Jerome Brooks attended Howard University, studying political science. He went on to study government and economics at Cornell University. Graduated from the University of Southern California in 2021.

From May 2005 to May 2006, he served as an Economic Policy Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives for one year and one month. From May 2006 to April 2008, he worked as a political analyst at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Research for two years.

He spent 4 months from July 2010 to October 2010 as a policy researcher in the office of Portland Mayor Sam Adams. He served in the U.S. House of Representatives as District Manager for Government and Community Affairs for 2 years and 3 months from January 2011 to January 2011. March 2013. He was a force to be reckoned with and will be deeply missed by all.

Jerome Brooks served as Public Affairs Advisor to the Portland Urban League from March 2013 to June 2013 for a period of 4 months. He served as the Equity and Inclusion Initiatives Coordinator for the Oregon Youth Authority. He served as Housing Program Coordinator for the Portland Housing Authority for 11 months.

He served as Executive Director of Housing Oregon for 2 years and 2 months from June 2016 to July 2018.
