She died on Tuesday, the 24th of October 2023 at 39, surrounded by her beloved family. She was confirmed dead through a Facebook post: “It’s a sad day losing my beautiful daughter-in-law Janna . She has endured a hard year with courage, In dealing with aggressive brain tumors plus being a mother to two small children”.

Who was Janna Kowalski?

Janna was born on October 19, 1984, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. She was the daughter of Nancy Cameron Riggs (Roger) and David Reid (Corinne). Her academic journey commenced at UPEI, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science before pursuing her LPN in Calgary. Her global exploration led her to reside in places like Australia, Korea, and Calgary until she eventually returned to Prince Edward Island.
