Irish Grinstead, a former member of the 90s girl group 702, has died, her sister and fellow member of the group Misha has revealed. Every 90s teen’s soundtrack undoubtedly had 702, and their image and presence had a significant impact on the lives of girls everywhere, especially black girls.
Irish’s sister and fellow group member, Lemisha Grinstead confirmed the sad news on Saturday.

Irish Grinstead died after a long struggle with an unidentified illness on September 16, 2023. Irish Grinstead death cause was kidney failure, the same unfortunate ailment that took the life of her twin sister, Orish, back in 2008 when she was just 27.
During their career, 702 was nominated for an American Music Award, a BET Award, and several Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards. They won best R&B/soul album of the year by a group, band, or duo for No Doubt.
