Hope A. Paez-Hernandez, 67 years old, has been identified as the motorist who was engaged in a deadly collision that occurred as a result of an accident that occurred on Monday evening in Lincoln County.
It was stated by the South Dakota Highway Patrol that Paez-Hernandez was traveling east on 276th Street when he failed to stop at a stop sign that was specifically intended for him.
As a result, he continued on to the intersection of South Dakota Highway 11, which resulted to a collision with Aaron Riffey, a truck driver who was 21 years old.
According to the authorities, Paez-Hernandez, who was a passenger, suffered death injuries as a result of the occurrence. On the other hand, Raquel Hinojosa, who was 49 years old, suffered critical injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
In the aftermath of the collision, Riffey, who was going south on South Dakota State Highway 11 at the time of the incident, sustained some minor injuries.
This terrible event is currently the subject of an ongoing inquiry that is concentrating on aspects such as the presence of alcohol and the wearing of seatbelts in order to garner additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding it.
