Georgia Kate ATV Accident Update: Georgia Kate is a 12-year-old girl who suffered a traumatic brain injury in an ATV accident in July. Her family, who lives in Bulloch County, has been welcomed by a community that prays and supports their daughter’s recovery.
How did Georgia Kate’s Accident Happen?
Georgia Kate rode an ATV (Terrain Vehicle) with her friends on July 23, 2023. The ATV lost control and went off the road, hitting some trees. Georgia Kate was not wearing a helmet and received a severe blow to her head.
Her friends called emergency services and Georgia Kate was airlifted to Memorial Health University Hospital in Savannah. There she was admitted to intensive care and underwent surgery to stop the bleeding in her brain
How is Georgia Kate Doing Now?
Georgia Kate has been in a coma since the accident, but she has improved. She has opened her eyes, moved her fingers and toes, and responded to some stimuli.
Her parents, Josh and Ashley, have been by her side every day, along with their other two children, Noah and Emma. They have also received an outpouring of love and support from their family, friends, church, and community.
They have created a Facebook page called Prayers for Georgia Kate, where they share updates on her condition and ask for prayers. They have also set up a GoFundMe page to help with medical expenses and other needs.
