A 23-year-old driver arrested after the terrible incident was freed from police custody over the weekend pending further investigation. He was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by hazardous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and driving while intoxicated or under the influence of narcotics or alcohol.
