Cutsforth’s Market, a long-standing establishment cherished by thousands of Canby residents as their go-to shopping destination, has a rich history dating back to 1928. It all began when Frank T. Cutsforth, the grandfather of the current owner, initiated a meat shop named “Cutsforth’s Market” in the heart of downtown Canby, featuring convenient lockers for the patrons. In 1946, Glenn Cutsforth, Frank’s father, acquired the business from his father and, along with his wife Elsie, expanded the offerings to include groceries, rebranding the store as “Cutsforth’s Grocery Store and Meat Market.”
