Former NFL Player Sergio Brown Missing, Mother Found Dead in Chicago

Sergio Brown is a 35-year-old man from Maywood, Illinois, who has been missing since August 25, 2023. He was last seen leaving his home with his mother, Myrtle Brown, who is also missing. They were supposed to go to a family reunion in Mississippi, but they never arrived.

A former NFL and high school football player has been missing since at least Friday. Law enforcement authorities and the family members of Sergio Brown, 35, said on Saturday afternoon that he’s still missing. The body of his mother, Myrtle Brown, was found in Addison Creek near her home in Maywood on Sept. 16.

NFL Player Sergio Brown’s Mother Found Dead

After a mother and son were reported missing in Maywood Saturday, the mother has been found dead and police are still searching for the son.

Officers began searching for Myrtle Brown, 73, and Sergio Brown, 35, after family members notified authorities that they could not locate or get in contact with either of them.

As police expanded their search area, Myrtle Brown was discovered unresponsive near a creek behind her home. Her body was transported to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
