Paddock Mall was the location of a tragic event that took place on Saturday afternoon, which was a stunning turn of events.
David Nathaniel Barron, a native of Ocala, Florida, who was 40 years old and internationally recognized as a great tattoo artist, has been confirmed as the person who was killed in the incident.
At the same time as the community is struggling to come to terms with this terrible act, law enforcement is working hard to bringing the person responsible to justice.
At approximately 3:40 p.m., the Ocala Police Department (OPD) received a worrisome call reporting many shots fired at Paddock Mall.
The incident took place at that time. Officers arrived on the scene and found a dying adult male in a common area.
Additionally, a lady who had been shot was sent to the hospital immediately for treatment of injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening. After further investigation, the adult male was determined to be Nathaniel Barron.
The Ocala Police Department moved quickly to begin a secondary search of the shopping center, thereby stepping up their attempts to apprehend the individual who was responsible for the shooting and to safeguard the public’s safety.
The suspect, who was described as wearing a black sweatshirt, black leggings, and a black mask that partially concealed his face, was able to flee the scene without being discovered, which has increased the level of urgency associated with the investigation that is currently taking place.
