Darrell Cunningham Northridge crash: LAPD officer killed, 1 dead 3 injured including DUI suspect

Darrell Cunningham Obituary: Authorities stated on Saturday that a San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy who was not on duty was among the three individuals hospitalized following a crash in Northridge that claimed the lives of two people, including a Los Angeles police officer. Officer Darrell Cunningham Shamily perished in the crash, said to LAPD Chief Michel Moore, at a press conference given at the L.A. County medical examiner’s office.

The Los Angeles Fire Department reports that the collision occurred around 1:15 at the junction of Lindley Avenue and West Roscoe Boulevard. When firefighters and paramedics arrived, one of the automobiles had sheared a fire hydrant, resulting in a towering gusher. According to the Fire Department, three persons were rescued from a black BMW vehicle stuck between an apartment building and a tree.
