Crown Towers Death: Family Court barrister Alice McShera found dead

Alice McShera Obituary, Cause Of Death: The body of a well-liked and well-respected Family Court lawyer was discovered at a five-star hotel. Around 11.10 a.m. on Monday, Alice McShera, 34, was discovered unconscious in a Crown Towers hotel room in the Burswood entertainment complex in Perth. After suffering injuries that were thought to be self-inflicted, Cameron John Pearson was brought to the hospital and placed under arrest. The police declined to grant him bail.

The suspect was arrested and charged

The 42-year-old was charged with one count of murder when he appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning. Approximately six members of Perth’s legal community were seated in the public gallery, clearly distressed. Those devastated by Pearson’s were seated in the gallery as well. Pearson remained silent when questioned about whether he understood the charge. When the charge was read aloud again, he remained silent. It was stated that McShera was Pearson’s girlfriend.

Who was Alice McShera?

Alice McShera was stationed at Murray Chambers in the central business district of Perth and primarily worked in Family Court. She was a member of the Law Society of Western Australia and the Family Law Practitioners Association of Western Australia, and she had over ten years of experience as an advocate and barrister. She was previously an associate to a WA Family Court judge, and she has also appeared in the WA Supreme Court and Magistrates Court.

Keegan Family Lawyers in a social media statement extend their condolences. The association wrote “Alice – you were a strong woman, a powerful woman, an amazing barrister and lawyer! You fought for those who couldn’t fight for themselves. You were a friend, a colleague, and someone to aspire to. I cannot believe you have been taken from us. FDV is real! And it can touch anyone! FDV has taken one of the good ones.”
