Cameron Craig Fire Accident: The firefighter, Cameron Craig was killed in Thursday’s crash in Washington County, Virginia. Cameron Craig, 20, of Saltville, was killed in the crash, according to Virginia State Police.

The driver was released from Bristol Regional Medical Center on Thursday night. An Abingdon firefighter was killed and another firefighter was seriously injured in a fire truck crash that happened on Thursday, according to authorities.

Virginia State Police stated that an Abingdon Fire Department truck, responding to a fire alarm call, was traveling south on Vances Mill Road when it came to a curve near Route 75.

The vehicle ran off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole, and overturned down the embankment. The driver of the truck was transported to Bristol Regional Medical Center for serious injuries. A 20-year-old passenger died at the scene, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
