Who was Boyet Sison, and what was the cause of his death?
Boyet Sison, a 58-year-old veteran sports personality, died on Saturday. He revealed that he was suffering from health concerns in a Facebook post on April 13 and that he would be undergoing surgery on April 14.
“Pray for me,” Sison pleaded. “I’m terrified and nervous.”
He constantly updates his Facebook status on his health; he had mentioned in his Facebook posts that he had stomach problems due to a blockage in his large intestines.
His death was announced on Saturday, and since then, his followers have been posting condolences on his Facebook page.

“My goodness, this one comes as quite the shock,” Lea Salonga said in a Facebook post. You always talked so passionately about sports, food, and music.”
“I’m glad you had the chance to show more of this side of you to the world before you passed on, even if it was mostly via FB live during the pandemic,” Ho continued. “You will have the best music in heaven and you’ll surely have the best seat now to watch any sport. Be with your mom now. May you rest in God’s eternal peace,” ABS-CBN reporter Tina Marasigan posted on her Facebook.
“Thank you for teaching us how to move with kindness in the cruel dancefloor that is life,” Canoy said in a Facebook post. Sison was one of the segment hosts of “TV Patrol.”
