Bobbie Jean, the sister of Nick and Aaron Carter, passed unexpectedly in Florida on Saturday; while the specifics of her demise are unknown, Bobbie Jean had previously battled addiction.
The Carter family has now experienced three deaths, so it is to be anticipated that they are distraught. Her mother Jane Carter quickly sent a statement to the media pleading for understanding and solitude during this trying time.
She stated to TMZ: “I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean; and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time. When I can think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement; but until then I would request to be left to grieve in private.”
As Jane noted in the statement, “[H]owever deeply a parent feels the loss of a child, the suffering of a young child at the loss of a parent must be much greater,” Bobbie Jean is survived by her infant daughter Bella. I would thus ask the empathetic person to offer up a prayer for my beloved eight-year-old granddaughter Bella, who has lost both her mother and her father.”
The outlet claims that BJ battled her illness nonstop for years, struggling with substance abuse and addiction. In addition, she was arrested a few times, the most recent being early this year.
The third Carter family member to leave away is 41-year-old Bobbie Jean; Aaron Carter drowned as a result of drug use. Leslie, his sister, overdosed and died back in 2012.
