Benjamin Wittrock Death – The Minnesota State Patrol reports that a collision involving four vehicles that occurred on Interstate 94 in Albertville on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the death of one driver who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. There were several other people engaged in the crash who were able to walk away without any injuries, according to the patrol. One of these individuals was a woman from Monticello.
Benjamin Wittrock Car Accident
At approximately three o’clock in the afternoon, the accident took place on westbound Interstate 94, close to exit 202. Benjamin Walter Wittrock, 43 years old, a resident of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, was killed as a result of it, according to the police. The accident report states that three vehicles were traveling in the left lane at a leisurely pace when a 2017 Kia Optima driven by Wittrock approached them while also traveling in the westbound direction.
The report stated that all four vehicles crashed close to milepost 202, and it also mentioned that the road conditions were dry at the time of the collision. A driver named Laura Beth Ruzicka, who was 37 years old and from Monticello, was one of the drivers that did not sustain any injuries. She was operating a 2011 Buick Enclave.
Other victims uninjured
The three passengers in the vehicle that was driven by a Browerville woman who was 57 years old and driving a 2021 Chevrolet Traverse were likewise unharmed. A woman from Minnetonka, Minnesota, who was driving a 2019 Toyota Highlander, had injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening, and the airbag in her vehicle deployed during the collision. Also deployed was Wittrock’s airbag, according to the authorities.
Both the Wright County Sheriff’s Office and the Albertville Fire Department responded to the incident, which caused traffic to be backed up for approximately two hours in the surrounding region. The police have stated that alcohol was not involved. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
