Christian Sims and Kevin Sims Car Accident: Couple killed in tragic Barnesville crash.
Jackson is mourning the tragic and very unexpected death of a young couple that lost their life in an auto accident on Friday.
On October 14 at around 7:30 p.m., a deadly automobile collision on a roadway in Barnesville claimed the lives of two people.
The collision occurred in the eastbound lanes of GA-36 around 7:45 p.m., according to Butts County officials. Uncertain circumstances led to another vehicle striking a couple’s car as it was on its way to Thomaston for an Upson-Lee and Jackson football game.
To assist individuals in need, a number of Barnesville officials, including paramedics and fire personnel, were sent to the area. Tragically, two occupants of the car were determined deceased at the scene from catastrophic injuries. The parties have since been named as Christian Sims, 35, and Kevin Sims, 34. It is unknown if any other people were hurt in the collision.
Kevin & Christain Sims were high school sweethearts both raised in Jackson, GA. They were impactful leaders in their families and community. They are survived by their 5 children.
