Anthony Lee and wife Sharon Lee of Memphis, die in murder-suicide in Shelby County

Anthony Lee and Sharon Lee Death – After their bodies were discovered at their house, the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is treating the deaths of the deputy and his wife as a possible case of murder-suicide, according to the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy worked for the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. On the evening of Saturday, October 14, 2023, the bodies of South Carolina State Police Deputy Anthonie Lee and his wife, Sharon Lee, were discovered inside a truck on the couple’s farm located on TJ Mize Road.

A call from Sharon Lee was received by the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office sometime between 10:30 and 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, according to the sheriff’s office. During the conversation, she stated that her husband, Anthony Lee, had threatened her by putting a gun on her head. According to the reports, the deputies who arrived on the scene discovered Anthony had been shot once, while Sharon had been shot many times. On arrival, it was determined that both had passed away.

Anthony Lee has been with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office for the past 32 years, according to a representative for the agency. The authorities in Haywood County claim that Sharon was employed by the sheriff’s office in the adjacent Madison County. According to the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office, they plan to examine the case as a possible murder-suicide.
