Andreas Probst, Police chief killed by 17-year-old in Bicycle Accident

Andreas Probst, 64, was fatally struck on August 14 while cycling in northwest Las Vegas, where he had retired after stepping down as the police chief of Bell, California, in 2009.

The 17-year-old driver, whose name was not released by police due to his age, was arrested soon after the crash and taken to the Juvenile Detention Cente.

Andreas Probst was 64 years old. He was a retired police chief with 35 years of committed service to the justice system. Currently, the 17-year-old has been held on suspicion of being the cause of Probst’s tragic death. The teen was also allegedly involved in a number of vehicle thefts that had occurred earlier that morning, according to the police.

According to the News, the police officials asserted that the charges against the teen are expected to be upgraded to include an open murder court after investigators came through a video indicating the accident was intentional.

The 17-year-old teen was detained shortly after the incident and was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center.

The video showing the youngster driving the car and what appears to be a deliberate collision with both a car and a bike has received a lot of attention on social media. It appears to have been captured by a front-seat passenger. The video has quickly spread online, generating a great deal of interest and anxiety.
