Aberdeen SD Shooting: Police investigation at Aberdeen Family YMCA’s parking lot

Aberdeen SD Shooting: Law enforcement officers are responding to an incident in Aberdeen, South Dakota on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023. The Aberdeen Police Department says that officers were sent to the Aberdeen Family YMCA located at 5 S State St, Aberdeen, SD after reports of an incident. Police are yet to make known the nature of the incident. There is speculation that a shooting took place but the authorities are yet to confirm these rumors.

According to a statement released through social media by the Aberdeen Family YMCA, there has been an incident in the YMCA’s parking lot. The Aberdeen Police Department is currently on site, and the scene is clear of any danger, the Aberdeen Family YMCA said. Members and staff can come and go from the facility, but please do not cross any police lines, the statement read.
